A beacon of Moroccan independent press, Le Journal Hebdomadaire, has been administratively terminated. It is the latest episode, and arguably the most significant in a long war the Moroccan authorities have been waging against voices of dissent in the country. Bloggers have had their share of harassment and imprisonments.
Hats off for those courageous journalists and bloggers who have been “crazy” enough to challenge an archaic and unjust system of governance.
